Gainesville names new water resources director

Gainesville has named a new water resources director with 20 years of consulting and engineering experience, along with a background at the Georgia Environmental Facilities Authority (GEFA).

Linda MacGregor will officially start in her new capacity February 15.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Ms. MacGregor’s caliber join the City of Gainesville. Her knowledge of the State Water Management Policy and the Tri-State Water issues is a tremendous benefit and will allow us to continue to move this department forward in a timely manner,” said City Manager Bryan Lackey in a press release.

MacGregor is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Environmental and Water Resources.

She replaces Kelly Randall, who is retiring, as water resources director.
