Motorcyclist flees from authorities, dies in crash in north Hall area

MURRAYVILLE — The Georgia State Patrol is investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist on Old Dahlonega Highway Thursday night.

Georgia State Patrol officers have identified Jonathan Grizzle, 29, as the man killed in the accident.

GSP said deputies had tried to stop Grizzle when they noticed a light on the bike was out. He reportedly sped away from deputies, losing control of the motorcycle a short distance away. The motorcycle crashed into some trees, according to GSP.

According to patrol officers, Grizzle, a native of Gainesville, was driving under the influence.
