JEFFERSON — The Jefferson girls volleyball team split a pair of Area 8-AAA matches Thursday at the Jackson County High gym.
In the opening match against Cconee County, the Lady Dragons (23-5, 3-2 Area 8-AAA) won the first set but the Lady Warriors rallied for a 20-25, 25-10, 25-13 victory. Jefferson responded in the second match with a 25-13, 25-21 win over host Jackson County.
Abby Wood had another big day for Jefferson with 14 kills and 14 digs to lead the way. Grace Haney had nine aces to go with 12 assists and four digs, Madison Corbett had 16 assists and four digs, and Bre Arbanas had seven kills for the Lady Dragons.
Olivia Przybysz had 14 digs for Jefferson.
