Cleveland police investigating store burglary

CLEVELAND - Dollar General on Highway 129 South in Cleveland was burglarized early Wednesday.

Cleveland Police Chief John Foster said the incident happened just before 6 a.m.

Foster said security video shows a black male breaking the window on the front of the store, then entering the store for about two minutes.

The man possibly was scared away by an audible alarm, Foster said, adding officials don't believe anything was taken in the burglary.

The GBI is continuing to process the scene.

Foster said another Dollar General store in White County was burglarized Aug. 28, and there was an attempted break-in at the Texaco the same night.

Dean Dyer of WRWH Radio contributed to this report.
