GAINESVILLE - A Hall County Commissioner confirmed Monday that his information was part of a data dump of Georgia Ashley Madison customers - a website that is known for assisting users in finding extramarital affairs.
Jeff Stowe confirmed via phone to an AccessWDUN reporter that he was aware his information was out there, and he was embarrassed about it.
Stowe told AccessWDUN he joined the site a few years ago out of curiosity and any contact he had on the site was also curiosity . He also said his wife was aware of the situation and was unhappy, but "we will be fine."
Stowe said he was "honestly sorry I was involved in something like that."
Stowe used his personal email to create the account.
