GAINESVILLE — East Jackson bounced back from a season-opening loss by handing Lakeview Academy its first of the campaign on Friday.
The Eagles defeated the Lions 21-16 in Gainesville.
Justin Saveedra scored two rushing touchdowns -- two yards and one yard -- while Andrew Scott added a 61-yard interception return for a score.
East Jackson (1-1) will take a bye next week before playing host to Banks County on Sept. 11.
Lakeview Academy (0-1) will play host to St. Francis next week.
