GAINESVILLE — The North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) has initiated an extensive search for the next professional to lead the organization as president and chief executive officer.

Daren Wayne, incoming chair for the Foundation, is heading the search committee composed of past and current board members.

“Our goal is to build upon the solid base that Jim Mathis has put in place over the past 17 years,” Wayne said. “We are in a great situation with Jim assisting with the plan for a transition and the strong support we continue to have from the 15 counties we serve.”

Resumes will be accepted through early July. Interviews are planned for August with the start date for the successful candidate anticipated for fall 2015.

The Chason Group, Inc. has been selected to assist in conducting the search.  Tim Chason, former Chief Operating Officer of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and Randy Cardoza, former Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, are leading the efforts for The Chason Group.

A complete position announcement is available on the foundation’s website at http://www.ngcf.org/news. Chason may be contacted at [email protected] and Cardoza at [email protected].
