GAINESVILLE -- The Riverside Military soccer team defeated Long County 5-0 on Wednesday in Gainesville to land a berth in the Class AA quarterfinals.
Guillermo Cruz-Celis scored twice and provided one assist, while Samuel Parker, Samuel Palmer and Carlos Carrillo also bagged one goal apiece for the third-ranked Eagles (14-2). Ricardo Policarpo also provided an assist in the win.
Riverside will play host to Pace Academy at 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the quarterfinals.
