'Piedmontpalooza' will rock Arrrendale Amphitheater April 4

DEMOREST - Eleven area bands and performers will take the stage at "Piedmontpalooza" April 4 at the Arrendale Amphitheater in Demorest.

The concert is a fundraiser for the Northeast Georgia Food Bank, and admission is $5 or two canned goods. The concert will run from 1:00-10:00 p.m.

Piedmontpalooza will include performances by Georgia Street (1 p.m.), Terribillis (1:50 p.m.), Crashtown Molley (2:40 p.m.), The Social Engineers (3:30 p.m.), Indie Keegan (4:20 p.m.), Brett Plaza and Will Bagby (4:55 p.m.), Terratonic (5:30 p.m.), Space Angels (6:20 p.m.), Breathing Kansas, (7:10 p.m.), Downside (8 p.m.), and Taj Motel Trio, (8:50 p.m.).

Piedmont student Harley Palmer of Lavonia said she organized the event as part of a school project to "bring together all members of the Piedmont campus and area communities to hear a variety of northeast Georgia bands, while helping the Northeast Georgia Food Bank." The Food Bank serves Habersham, Rabun, Stephens, White and Towns counties.

The Arrendale Amphitheater is located at 359 College Drive, adjacent to the Swanson Center for Performing Arts and Communications, and features open-air stadium seating with room for folding chair or cushions. Concessions will be available.
