GAINESVILLE — The Gainesville won their fourth straight Region 8-AAAAA game after taking a tough 48-44 win over Clarke Central Friday at the Gainesville gym.
Taylor Hawks paced the Lady Red Elephants (5-2, 4-0 Region 8-AAAAA) with 11 points and added three steals. Tija Blackwell had 10 points and Kayla Kelly added nine points and five assists for Gainesville.
Gainesville next will play host to Salem on Saturday in another Region 8-AAAAA battle.
