Girls basketball: East Hall knocks off Alabama state champs in Hoopsgiving Classic

ATLANTA — The East Hall girls knocked off defending Class AAAAAAA Alabama state champion Huntsville 65-37 Saturday in the Hoopsgiving Classic at Holy Innocents High School.

Ashlyn Ellison led the Lady Vikings with 24 points. Carly Winters added 20 for East Hall.

The Lady Vikings will play host to Class AAAAAA Peachtree Ridge on Tuesday.
