Hall County suspect arrested after Rabun search

CLAYTON - An armed man facing felony warrants in Hall County fled from a traffic stop near Clayton Saturday afternoon and now is in custody.

Rabun County sheriff's officials sad Danny Clore, 27, was arrested in the Luther Watts Road area a short distance from Walmart just after 4 p.m.

Rabun County deputies had been watching for Clore since Hall County issued a lookout for him about a week ago.

When Clore passed a Rabun County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit Saturday afternoon, Rabun officials say a chase ensued, and Clore bailed out of the vehicle with a weapon in the area of Luther Watts Road off Highway 76 East.

A public alert was issued by the sheriff's office to people in the area just before 3 p.m.

Rabun County officials said they recovered a couple of weapons at the vehicle and were continuing to search the area where Clore fled for additional weapons.

No one was injured during the search.
