ATLANTA — North Hall needed four sets to beat Grady in the first round of the Class AAAA girls state volleyball tournament Wednesday.
North Hall won the match 25-16, 25-18, 23-25, and 25-12 to advance to the second round.
Makenzie Bryant had 12 digs, five aces and Melissa DeVerter had 11 kills, four blocks, and two digs for North Hall. Lily Paschall 32 assists, three kills, two aces, Autumn Tucker had 16 kills, four digs, one ace, and one block, and Bly Belcher had nine kills and two digs for the Lady Trojans.
North Hall next will take on the winner of the Ridgeland-Burke County winner next Tuesday in the second round.
