Brenau's Augusta campus collecting bottled water for SC flood victims

AUGUSAT - Students, faculty and staff at the Brenau University Augusta campus are doing their part to help out those impacted by flooding in South Carolina by collecting bottled water donations.

Brenau University Adult and Graduate Studies Enrollment Counselor Andy Allen said the drive, which will continue the rest of the month, may be expanded to include additional items such as canned foods and toiletries.

He said the donations will primarily go to those affected by flooding in Columbia, South Carolina and its hard-hit surrounding rural areas.

“We’re 50 minutes down the road, so it felt like a very neighborly thing to do,” Allen said. “We really appreciate the community involvement that we are allowed to have in Augusta. We want people to know Brenau is here, and we are about serving our surrounding communities.”
