BOGART — The North Hall volleyball team defeated Monroe Area but fell to North Oconee in the Area 8-AAAA tournament on Tuesday in Bogart.
The Lady Trojans stayed alive in tournament play and will face White County on Thursday for a spot in the state playoffs -- though the highest they can finish is as the No. 3 seed.
North Hall swept Monroe 25-2, 25-4 and suffered a 25-22, 25-8 loss to North Oconee.
Lily Paschall had 21 assists to help lead the Lady Trojans, while Autumn Tucker had a 21-point service run, with 13 aces, 8 kills, 10 digs and 2 blocks. Melissa DeVerter also had 5 kills and 5 blocks; Makenzie Bryant had 6 aces, 10 digs and 1 kill; Bly Belcher had 3 kills and 1 ace; Lena Strickland had 12 digs; Caroline Brady had 4 kills.
North Hal plays White County at 5 p.m. Thursday in Buford.
