DEMOREST - Demorest Water System customers who experienced an outage or low pressure Sunday should boil water used for consumption or food preparation.
The boil water advisory is in effect until further notice.
About half of Habersham County's largest water system already went dry by about 5 p.m. Sunday as a result of storm-related power outages, according to Demorest Mayor Rick Austin.
The Demorest Water System serves a large portion of water customers throughout Habersham County and large customers include Habersham Medical Center, Piedmont College, and several schools.
