Flowery Branch woman charged with arson

FLOWERY BRANCH - A Flowery Branch woman has been charged with the December 2014 arson of her own home.<br /> <br /> Jaclin Michelle Lance was booked into the Hall County Jail Wednesday and also had her first court appearance the same day, according to Hall County Sheriff's Deputy Nicole Bailes.<br /> <br /> Bailes said in a press release that fire officials responded to a fire that had self-extinguished at 6015 Daffodil Drive on December 8, 2014. The fire was found and reported by the home owner, Lance, who said she had been staying with family and came home to discover there had been a fire.<br /> <br /> During the investigation, Lance was identified as the suspect who set the fire.<br /> <br /> Lance has been charged with one count of arson in the first degree and one count of insurance fraud. Both charges are felonies.<br /> <br /> Lance faces a $13,000 bond. The incident remains under investigation.<br />
