Four arrested for shooting, injuring Forsyth Co. man

CUMMING - A 22-year-old man was shot and injured on Sunday and his four alleged attackers have been arrested.

Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Rainwater says the victim called authorities around 2 a.m. Sunday and reported he had been shot and suffered non-life-threatening injuries to the leg and buttocks. He says the victim knew his alleged attackers.

"He provided information to our deputies the names and a possible location where the people were from," said Rainwater. "So our deputies went to Creek Ridge Drive - with a Gainesville address - and... there were seven people inside the home. Through the investigation, we found that four of them were directly responsible for this shooting, one of which was charged with the shooting."

Rainwater said the other three were charged as accessories. All four were around the same age as the victim.

Brandon Joseph Huff, 22, of Alpharetta, was identified as the shooter and was charged with aggravated assault attempt to murder, aggravated battery and possession of a fire arm during the commission of a crime.

Lauren Nicole Rutledge, 22, of Gainesville; Theodore Michael Hadzimihalis, 21, of the Fowler Road of Alpharetta; Ryan Michael Waite, 22, of Cumming, were all charged with aggravated assault and party to a crime.

Rainwater said the four are still in custody. "They are all still currently being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center, their bond is pretty high so we don't know when they'll make bond."

Rainwater said they are still looking in to a motive, but believe there may have been a dispute over money.
