Lions get first 8-A win, trounce Providence Christian

GAINESVILLE -- Junior Tae Turner ran for 240 yards and five touchdowns to lead Lakeview Academy to a 38-3 shellacking of Providence Christian Friday night in Region 8-A action.<br /> <br /> It was the first-ever region win for the Lions (1-3, 1-1 Region 8-A) who are playing first-ever region schedule.<br /> <br /> Lakeview Academy jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead behind four touchdowns from Turner. he added another in the second half and Jack Perkins booted a 26-yard field goal for the Lions in the second half.<br /> <br /> Avonte Gobel had an interception for the Lakeview defense.<br /> <br /> The Lions had 356 total yards of offense, 300 on the ground.<br /> <br /> Lakeview held Providence Christian (0-4, 0-2) to just 70 yards of offense for the game.
