ATHENS -- Lakeview Academy split a pair of Area 8-A matches Tuesday in girls volleyball action.<br />

The Lady Lions beat host Athens Christian in the opener 25-10, 25-11 but then fell to Prince Avenue 25-13, 25-14 in the second match.<br />

Bailey Towles had 13 assists and six aces on the night while Katie White contributed 24 digs, eight kills and four aces for Lakeview. Rachel Unger added six kills and Katie Gay added four kills, three aces and eight digs for the Lady Lions.<br />
<br />
Delaney Jarrett had 12 assists, 3 aces and seven digs, Katie Montomery finished with three kills, two digs and two blocks, and Madison McElwee added three kills and two aces for Lakeview.<br />
<br />
Lakeview will play host to Hart County and Johnson on Thursday in Gainesville.
