GAINESVILLE - The man who was stabbed at a Hall County mobile home park Saturday night was continuing to recover and was reportedly "in good spirits" Sunday afternoon.<br />
Sheriff's department spokesman Chad Mann said the incident happened at Marlowe Drive Mobile Home Park in Gainesville.<br />
"We had a Hispanic male stabbing victim...approximately in his mid-30's," Mann said Sunday morning. "He was transported from the scene (to) receive medical treatment, was conscious and alert, but with heavy bleeding, at the time."<br />
Mann said later in the day "the victim is stable this afternoon. He is recovering, and appears to be in good spirits, according to investigators." <br />
Mann added that detectives are still working on identifying and arresting the person responsible for the stabbing.
An intergovernmental agreement that has been in consideration for four years that would bring turn lanes and new pavement to the intersection of McEver Road and Gainesville Street is going to wait, at least for now.
