Man seriously injured after falling from truck

By Rob Moore Reporter
DEMOREST - A 21-year-old man was seriously hurt after falling from the bed of a pickup truck on Twin River Road near Demorest around 8:15 Thursday night.

Trooper 1st Class J.S. Munger said 21-year-old Christopher Brannon was riding in the bed of a Jeep Comanche pickup that was negotiating a curve while traveling east on Twin River Road.

The driver of the truck, Nicolas Reynolds, told the trooper Brannon was reaching for something and fell out of the vehicle onto the pavement.

"It cannot be determined if Vehicle 1 actually struck [Brannon] with its rear right tire due to lack of evidence," Munger said.

Brannon was removed from the scene by ambulance prior to Munger's arrival. He also noted the truck had been pulled to the shoulder of the road by the time he arrived.

Brannon was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he was treated for serious injuries.
