Falcons tackle Jones carted off field with injury

By The Associated Press
FLOWERY BRANCH -- Falcons backup offensive tackle Terren Jones has been carted off the practice field and taken to a hospital with an unknown injury.

Coach Mike Smith says the team didn't have an immediate update on the status of Jones, who was in a neck brace when he was taken to an ambulance.

Jones signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent from Alabama State in 2013. He spent most of the season on the practice squad and did not appear in a game.

Also, Falcons rookie defensive end Ra'Shede Hageman left practice with an apparent hand injury following a fight with center Joe Hawley.

Smith says fights during practice are a problem. He pledged "to get that fixed."
