Gainesville murder suspect/fugitive arrested

GAINESVILLE - A joint effort by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Gainesville Police Department has resulted in the arrest of Rodnie Maurice Stokes, 27, who has been a fugitive since the June 5th shooting death of Cedric Huff on West Avenue in Gainesville.<br /> <br /> Stokes was wanted on outstanding warrants for Felony Murder and Possession of a Gun by a Convicted Felon. <br /> <br /> Task Force investigators learned that Stokes was at a Suwanee residence and executed a warrant for his arrest on Wednesday with the assistance of the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br /> Stokes was found inside the residence and was taken into custody without incident. <br /> <br /> Stokes is currently being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.<br />
