Gwinnett police find meth, children in home

By The Associated Press
LILBURN - Police in Gwinnett County say they found about 50 pounds of methamphetamine in a house near Lilburn where four children were also found.

Police tell WSB-TV that four adults were arrested after a raid on the house Tuesday and face drug and cruelty charges.

Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter says the four were processing liquid meth from Mexico and preparing it for market. He says some of it was being sold in Gwinnett County and some was being transported elsewhere.

The suspects were identified in court as Rocio Vasquez Vega, Juan Perez Maldonado, Olegarrio Palacios-Pineda and Normal Pineda-Palacios. They were being held without bond and immigration authorities have put holds on them. It was not immediately clear Friday if any of the four had a lawyer.
