Police search for suspect in Athens shooting

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Police in Athens are searching for a suspect they say fired shots into a crowd of people. <br /> <br /> Athens-Clarke police say three people were wounded in the shooting early Sunday morning. <br /> <br /> Police say they're seeking a specific person -- a 20-year-old man -- who is wanted on aggravated assault charges. <br /> <br /> The Athens Banner-Herald reports that officers were dispatched to the location on Deer Parkway after someone reported hearing shots being fired. <br /> <br /> The three people who had been shot were taken to a hospital by others at the scene when the gunfire happened. Information on their conditions wasn't available early Monday. <br />
