Short work week ahead for GDOT crews, but some routine maintenance scheduled

GAINESVILLE - Next week will be a short work week for Georgia Department of Transportation crews but some routine maintenance in north Georgia is planned.<br /> <br /> Most activities will only require shoulder or median lane closures. <br /> <br /> WHEN: Crews will work Monday, June 30 through Thursday, July 3. July 4 is a Holiday. Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. if weather permits. Lane closures are required for patching asphalt, a flagman or pilot vehicle will direct traffic through the work zone.<br /> <br /> WHERE and WHAT: <br /> <br /> Habersham - A crew will mow, trim weeds and spray overgrown vegetation at each intersection on SR 15/US 441. Shoulders and a lane will be closed as this work occurs.<br /> <br /> Lumpkin
