GAINESVILLE - The Georgia Department of Transportation says all lanes of one section of Friendship Road/State Route 347, part of the widening of the road, will be open by 10:00 Monday morning, weather permitting.<br />

Its the stretch of road from State Route 211 to Spout Springs Road and is part of the widening of the road from 211 to I-985.<br />
<br />
However, GDOT say intermittent lane closures will occur during the day next week in the newly opened lanes as "punch list" work is finished.<br />
<br />
The widening of the road to four lanes from 211 to I-985 is a 7.97-mile, $38.4 million project that is scheduled for completion January 12, 2016.
