LAGRANGE - Forecasters say a storm over the weekend produced a low-level tornado in western Georgia.
Meteorologists at the National Weather Service report that a storm Sunday generated a tornado that touched down near LaGrange.
It uprooted and snapped trees that fell onto cars and homes. The tornado also destroyed a greenhouse.
No injuries were reported.
Georgia Senators Johnny Isakson and David Perdue Thursday urged Senate leaders to remove language in the Energy and Water appropriations bill they say is a direct attack on Georgia in its ongoing water dispute with Alabama.
