DULUTH - Gwinnett County emergency crews spent nearly an hour Friday morning freeing a man trapped in his vehicle by a fallen tree.<br />
Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said the man, whose name has not been released, appeared to have suffered severe internal injuries as a result of the incident. He said the man was pinned from his waist down by the tree.<br />
Rutledge said the man was traveling toward downtown Duluth on Abbott's Bridge Road around 10:30 a.m. when the tree came crashing down. <br />
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.<br />
