CLARKESVILLE - The North Georgia Technical College Foundation is guided by business and community volunteer leaders who represent the eight counties in the college's service area. Recently, four new Trustees were appointed to the board as the Foundation begins a new campaign to increase funds for scholarships.<br />
Whit Diggs, HR Director of Sage Automotive Industries, has been named as a Trustee to represent Stephens County. Mr. Diggs previously served the Foundation for three terms. Sandy Keener of Billy Cain Ford and Stewart Sayer have been named as a Trustees to represent Habersham County. Joseph Goble of Advanced Digital Cable has been named as a Trustee to represent Union County.
About three dozen businesses from White County and the surrounding area showcased their services and the products they provide during the 2016 White County Chamber of Commerce Business Expo held Thursday.
The Flowery Branch City Council gave first reading approval to a rezoning request for a 7.1-acre tract on East Main Street that could lead to the construction of a 60-unit multi-family senior housing affordable-living complex.
