Rush hour crash kills one on I-85

DULUTH - One person was killed in a collision on Interstate 85 in Gwinnett County Thursday morning, according to police.

The deadly crash happened just after 7 a.m. on I-85 northbound at Steve Reynolds Boulevard in the Duluth area. Investigators said a tractor trailer flipped on its side after colliding with another vehicle.

Two other people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital.

Identities of those involved have not been released.

Parts of I-85 north remained closed as investigators worked the accident scene.
