The Gainesville boys golf team captured its second consecutive Champions Invitational title and sixth tournament title in six played this season on Wednesday at the Ansley Golf Club at Settindown Creek.

The Red Elephants fired a team score 306 -- 14 strokes better than runner-up Brookstone.

Spencer Ralston paced Gainesville with a 74, while Grant Lasseter carded a 76. Lawson King and Nathan Williams also both posted 78 to round out the team scoring.

The Champions Invitational features only former tournament winners or state champions within the previous three years.

Gainesville's boys next play in the North Georgia High School Classic at Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, April 18-19.
