Baseball: Gainesville runs past Habersham Central, 10-0

GAINESVILLE -- Gainesville baseball bombed Habersham Central 10-0 in six innings on Wednesday at Ivey-Watson Field in Gainesville.

Michael Curry and Mikey Gonzalez combined to pitch three innings each for the Red Elephants (3-0), with Curry earning the win and Gonzalez getting the save.

Curry also starred at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and a home run. Sims Griffith also finished 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored, and Caleb Whitenton crushed a home run. Michael Gettys also had two hits and two stolen bases.

Gainesville travels to face Mountain View on Friday.
