Flowery Branch man arrested in child molestation case

FLOWERY BRANCH - A 20-year-old Flowery Branch man has been arrested in connection to a child molestation that occurred in Flowery Branch.

Auburn Police contacted Flowery Branch authorities yesterday afternoon in regards to a possible child molestation. Flowery Branch Police investigated and subsequently arrested Christopher Allen Daniels of Tree Park Circle.

Daniels was arrested at his family's apartment without incident after the execution of a search warrant. He is charged with felony offenses of enticing a child for indecent purposes, child molestation and statutory rape.

Flowery Branch Police Chief David Spillers said the victim and Daniels were acquainted. "They had known each other for some time," Spillers said. "The victim is 14 years of age."

Daniels remains in the Hall County Detention Center.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office Crime Scene Unit assisted in the investigation.
