Collins will serve on House Rules, Judiciary committees

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Republican Congressman Doug Collins of Gainesville will serve on the House Committee on Rules and the House Committee on the Judiciary in the 114th Congress. <br /> <br /> In the announcement from his Washington office, the Ninth District Representative noted that this will be his second term on the House Judiciary Committee, where he will now serve as Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet. <br /> <br /> Also, Collins will be one of the newest members of the Rules Committee, which holds jurisdiction over every piece of legislation coming to a vote by the whole House of Representatives.<br /> <br /> "In the 114th Congress, committees are where we'll be doing the hardest work in turning this country around. I'm honored to be in a position to make Northeast Georgia's voice heard as every piece of legislation makes its way through the Rules Committee to the House floor," said Collins in the press statement.<br /> <br /> The 114th Congress also brings changes to Congressman Collins's office locations. Collins's Gainesville Office now will be located at 210 Washington Street NW, Suite 202. For constituents visiting Washington, DC, Congressman Collins's office will be located in 1504 Longworth House Office Building.<br /> <br /> The office phone numbers - 770-297-3388 for Gainesville and 202-225-9893 for Washington- will remain unchanged.
