Softball: Region 8-AAAA All-Region announced; Lady Wolves sweep top awards

Buford dominated the Region 8-AAAA All-Region girls softball team.<br /> <br /> The awards were released Thursday.<br /> <br /> Buford's Jordan Deep was named Player of the Year while the Lady Wolves' Bria Bush was nameed Pitcher of the Year. lady Wolves coach Tony Wolfe was named Coach of the Year to sweep the major awards.<br /> <br /> Buford also had Tessa Daniels (IF), Baylee Sexton (IF), Alexis Murray (C), Sydney Stavro (OF), Kennedy Kotula (P), and Samantha Thomas (UTL) were named to the 1st Team. Drew Puckett (IF) and Breanna Gutierrez (OF) were named to the 2nd team.<br /> <br /> Here is the rest of the first team:<br /> <br /> Becca Eddins (IF) Chestatee; Dani Lukas (IF) Madison County; Lexie Cash (IF) Stephens County; Jessica Morgan (C) White County; Kat Waldrop (OF) North Oconee; Kayla Watson (OF) Chestatee; Haley Gordon (OF) Madison County; Katie Foote (P) North Oconee; and Alexis Damron (P) Madison County.<br /> <br /> The second team: Lauren Bernard (IF) White County; Courtney Alexander (IF) Madison County; Ashlynn Brewster (IF) North Hall; Harper Seymour (IF); Sierra Brock (C) Chestatee; Ashley Goines (C) North Hall; Kayci Meeler (OF) North Oconee; Elizabeth Nix (C) White County; Carson McCormack (OF) North Hall; Isabelle Fain (P) White County; Kaitlin Edward (P) North Hall; Hannah Meeler (P) North Hall; and Hannah Wall (UTL) White County.<br /> <br /> Honorable Mention were North Oconee: Hailey Thomas and Caroline Miller; Monroe Area: Alexis Cason, Montana McGinnis, Kennedy Coffey, and Kristin Root; Chestatee: Kenyana Wesley; Madison County: Casie Wade; and Buford: Remington Hastey.
