Gainesville Heat partners with Marines for local Toys for Tots campaign this year

GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Heat is partnering with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation this year. <br /> <br /> The mission of the program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.<br /> <br /> Toys can be left at Lakewood Baptist Church's Ministry Center beginning Monday, November 10. They can be dropped off Monday-Thursday from 4:00-8:00, and Fridays from 2:0-6:00.<br /> <br /> The last day to drop off toys will be at the team's home opener at Lakewood Baptist Church, December 14, from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.<br /> <br /> The team is a member of the American Basketball Association.
