BOGART -- North Oconee scored the final 28 points to pull away for a 42-6 Region 8-AAAA win over North Hall Friday night.<br />

It was a close game heading into the fourth quarter, however. North Hall (0-5, 0-2 Region 8-AAAA) trailed just 14-6 in the second quarter after Bobby Mendenhall scored on an 11-yard run with 3:27 left in the half.<br />

The Titans would get a 61-yard TD pass two minutes later for a 21-6 halftime lead. It stayed that until the fourth quarter when North Oconee (3-2, 2-0) exploded for 21 points in five minutes to put the game away.<br />

The Trojans did a good job of keeping Titans' star running back Kawon Bryant in check. Bryant had just 92 yards and one touchdown. Zantravious Shields, however, broke the North Hall defense with 132 yards on just seven carries, including touchdown runs of 53 and 29 in the fourth quarter.<br />

Kyle Bacus paced North Hall with 111 yards rushing.
