Grass fire prompts shutdown of I-985 south

FLOWERY BRANCH - Hall County authorities had to shut down part of I-985 southbound Monday afternoon because of a grass fire near mile marker 11.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said while the back-up was an inconvenience, it lasted only briefly. He described the fire as minor.
