Garbage truck overturns, spills diesel fuel

GAINESVILLE - Fire and police personnel from the city of Gainesville remain on the scene of an overturned trash truck on Hilton Drive.

As a result, Hilton Drive has been closed to traffic.

Gainesville Fire Dept. Capt. Keith Smith said the truck was hauling household garbage when it overturned around 9:30 a.m. Smith said no one was injured, but about 25 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into the roadway. He said the fuel has been contained.
