Rain-free weekend ahead, first since before Christmas

By Ken Stanford Reporter
A rain-free weekend is in store for North Georgia, the first in seven weeks in some places - six in Gainesville.

For Gainesville you have to go all the way back to Nov. 30-Dec. 1 to find a weekend that it didn't rain. Atlanta is one of those places that has has seven straight weekends on which it rained on one or both days.

While the weekend may be rain-free, it will still be cold - with, for the most part, below normal temperatures forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.

The highs in Gainesville are expected to be in the 40s, with lows in the 20s to around 30, according to AccuWeather.com. Highs around 50 and lows around freezing are normal for this time of year.
