Photos released of Ingles pharmacy suspect

OAKWOOD - Hall County authorities have released photos of the man believed responsible for the robbery of the Ingles pharmacy on Winder Highway on New Year's Eve.

Sheriff's Deputy Chad Mann said investigators are hoping the public will recognize the suspect.

"We're asking the public if anyone sees, recognizes this individual to call our investigative division at 770-531-6879. You can also remain anonymous and call our tip line," said Mann.

The man in the photos is suspected of taking an unknown amount of pharmaceuticals from the pharmacy the morning of December 31. Mann said even though the suspect told employees he was armed, they never saw a weapon. He said people should still use caution if they think they see the suspect.

"We definitely urge the public that if you do know his whereabouts, if you do recognize him, don't confront him," said Mann. "Just leave that to us. Let us do our job. Just notify us and let us know if you think you may recognize that person."

Mann said the suspect is described as a white male, over 6 feet tall with dark hair. He said the man wore a black running suit and flip flops. He also had a patch of gauze on the right side of his face.
