Girls basketball: Lakeview pounds Pinecrest, 70-26

GAINESVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy girls basketball team hammered Pinecrest Academy 70-26 on Friday in Gainesville.

The Lady Lions (7-5) jumped ahead 18-6 after the first quarter and cruised to a 36-9 halftime lead.

Haley Cash scored 14 points to lead Lakeview, while Hannah Grogan added 10.

The Lady Lions play again Tuesday at Tallulah Falls.
