By staff, wire reports
Gainesville slid to sixth, while North Hall and Jefferson each moved up a spot in the latest Georgia Sports Writer's Association prep football poll, released Tuesday.

North Gwinnett (2-0) also held at No. 1 in Class AAAAAA, while Mill Creek (2-0) crept up to No. 8 in the state's highest classification.

Also in AAA, North Hall (2-0) moved up to No. 6 -- up one spot after last week's 63-6 defeat of Johnson.

And, in Class AA, Jefferson (2-0) edged up to No. 4 after a 49-0 defeat of Jackson County -- the Dragons second straight shutout to open the 2013 campaign.
