Volleyball: Lakeview sweeps pair of 8-A matches

GAINESVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy girls volleyball swept a pair of Region 8-A matches Tuesday at home.

The Lady Lions held off George Walton 27-25, 25-20 and the whipped Tallulah Falls 25-10, 25-8 in the second match.

Katie White led Lakeview with 17 digs, 10 kills and five. Shelby Ross added 10 kills with four aces, six digs and one block and Peaches Shipley had five kills, five aces, and three blocks for the Lady Lions.

Bailey Towles had 17 assists and Delaney Jarrett had 14 assists and one ace and Kaylee McClendon had six aces and Samantha Versteeg had 18 digs for Lakeview.

The Lady Lions next will travel to Johnson on Thursday.
