Volleyball: Lakeview wins pair in quad-match

DAHLONEGA -- Lakeview Academy won two of three matches Saturday in a quad-match at the Lumpkin County gym.

The Lady Lions rallied to beat Heritage 23-25, 25-21, 15-11 and then held off East Hall 25-12, 23-25, 15-11 before losing to Gilmer 25-18, 25-20.

Katie White had 21 kills, 18 digs and four aces to lead Lakeview. Shelby Ross added 13 kills, 11 digs and seven aces and Bailey Towles had 26 assists and Delaney Jarrett 18 assists for the Lady Lions.

Samantha Versteeg had 28 digs and Katie Gay added eight kills and three aces.

Lakeview will be back in action Tuesday at home against George Walton and Tallulah Falls.
