Volleyball: Jefferson wins five at play date

JEFFERSON -- The Jefferson girls volleyball team won five of six matches Saturday playing host to a six-team play date.

The Lady Dragons got wins over East Jackson, Athens Christian, Winder Barrow, Rabun County, and Chestatee.

With the wins Jefferson improved to 10-3 on the season.

Grace Williamson had 26 aces and 22 kills to pace Jefferson. Bre Arbanas had 18 aces, Abby Wood had 25 kills, and Lindsey Nilsen had 23 kills for the Lady Dragons. Paige Watson added 39 assists and Madison Corbett had 36 assists.
