White's shot at buzzer lifts Sun over Dream

UNCASVILLE, CONNECTICUT -- Tan White hit a jumper with 0.5 seconds left to lift the Connecticut Sun to an 88-86 victory over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday night.

Tina Charles had 25 points and six rebounds for the Sun (7-15) and Renee Montgomery added 18 points and four assists.

White had 15 points and four rebounds and rookie Kelly Faris made three 3-pointers, finishing with 11 points and seven rebounds in her first start.

Angel McCoughtry scored 33 points on 13-of-27 shooting for Atlanta (11-9), adding eight rebounds and three steals. Armintie Harrington was the only other Atlanta player to score in double figures, getting 15 points and six rebounds in the Dream's eighth loss in nine games.

Atlanta erased a 15-point, third-quarter deficit to lead 86-83 with over a minute remaining in the game.
