GAINESVILLE - Even though Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have been in the area for a couple of weeks now, their movie shoot is still a novelty to north Georgians.
The actors spent much of their time at Four Seasons in Flowery Branch and in Buford at the end of July shooting scenes for "Blended," a movie about a man and a woman who find themselves, after a bad blind date, stuck at a resort for families.
This week, production has moved into the city of Gainesville, and First Baptist Church on Green Street is being used as a staging area for equipment, according to Gainesville Police. Production is expected to run the next two weeks.
Scenes for "Blended" have also been shot at the ball field at the Four Seasons neighborhood in south Hall County. (See link below.)
"Blended" is set to be released in theatres on May 23, 2014.
